About SEED
“Every day, we experience architecture on an emotional, intellectual, and physical level whether we’re conscious of it or not.”
Home is a sacred place where you laugh, cry, and share your most intimate times in your life. It’s where you welcome family and friends. It’s where you experience solitude and privacy. It’s a place that has profound meaning to you and for most people, buying a home is the biggest investment they will make in their lives.
Every day, we experience architecture on an emotional, intellectual, and physical level whether we’re conscious of it or not. I have a deep appreciation for architecture as an art form and its ever evolving nature. It’s a collaborative art that brings together a socioeconomic diverse community including craftsmen, engineers and designers working to build something together. I’m grateful to partner with some of the most hardworking professionals in the industry who take great pride in their work.
Finding an honest, trusted partner who listens and understands your ideas, needs, and hopes is essential. Asking the right questions is fundamental. Listening to you is paramount. Are you in need of a home that functions better? Do you need more space? Is your house overdue for a much needed renovation?
With a wholehearted and authentic approach to design, I throw my enthusiasm and unwavering attention to each and every project, big or small. My goal is to design a home that reflects your values and personal style, a home that not only surprises and delights you with beauty in unexpected places but works effortlessly in all the right spots.

About Jill Swisher
Jill Espenmiller Swisher, founder of Seed Design, is a Los Angeles based designer who specializes in residential architecture. Her work is smart and sophisticated. She designs spaces that are minimal and livable, modern and comfortable. Jill believes in creating spaces that are for living, not just viewing.
A proud graduate of the UC Davis Design Program (BA), the only comprehensive academic design program in the University of California system, Jill received a unique design education. Her studies integrated design history, theory and criticism, with design thinking, making, and creative practice. Jill studied architecture, textile design, photography, visual communications and fashion. Her education provides a unique perspective when approaching a project from conception to execution.
Jill’s previous experience includes work at Gensler, a world-wide integrated architecture, design, planning and consulting firm, and she was a contributing team member with several prominent residential architects and interior designers in Los Angeles including Barbara Barry and Scott Prentice.
Inspired by the great outdoors, her family life, and the innovative work of strong, creative, and fiercely independent women (such as Architect Zaha Hadid and Heath Ceramics Founder Edith Heath), Jill provides exceptional design and service to her clients.
